Hi everyone,

I recently decided to learn to play the bass. Luckily I have a friend that happened to have a bass lying around which I can borrow to see if I really like playing the bass etc.. It's a Kasuga Precision bass (or copy or whatever) and it's quite old. What I would like to know (and so does my friend who owns it) is how much this guitar is worth nowadays. Does anyone have a clue? The instrument itself is in very good shape, it's just.... pretty Very Happy .

Thanks, Jen

I think this question can be answered by our more "mature" board members, like kingfreeze and ship of fools. I've never heard of it, but perhaps they know what value it has...

Price Paid: US $150
Features: 8
I think this was is an early seventies one made in Japan.
Simple split pickup with 2 volume pots. Really easy to use and sounds great

Sound: 8
I use this for home recording my stuff. Mostly folky rock stuff.
I run the kasuga into a behringer v-amp and then into a small tube preamp and get pretty good results.

Action, Fit, & Finish: 9
This one was in perfect condition and looks like it had hardly ever been played. Beautifull neck

Reliability/Durability: 5
I,m geussing if its looked after will last for another 30 years

Customer Support: N/A
don,t think the company exists./ Some say that kasuga factory became Ibanez??don,t know the history

Overall Rating: N/A

Hehe thanks guys, actually I had already found that entry but couldn't find much more info so I was just wondering if anyone knew more about it. Thanks anyways.
Btw, I know that the value depends on the state of the instrument... and a 'more mature' Wink and experienced bassist totally loved it... hehe, so it's in pretty good shape.
