If it's no trouble, can I please have the chord fingering for the guitar chords Cmaj9/G, Cadd11/F, F5, G5, C5/G, and Fmaj7. I'm sorry, I know its a big "order", but I need this help. Thanks and God Bless!

Hey DG,
I don't actually know the fingerings for those chords myself, but if you use this link http://www.cyberfret.com/scales/guitar-codex/index.php and bookmark it somewhere, you should be able to find any chord you're looking for yourself in the future Smile

there's actually a good logical explenation for those names, i can find them without searching them, tough, this doesn't works all the time, sometimes its to complicated.
for example, Cadd/F
you know C dont you? if you don't, uve got some work to do. put your hands in C.
now it says add11
whats the 11th tone in C? (C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C, D, E F) its fa or F. this means you've got to add an F to your C. do this at your high E-string.
now the /F
the / means that this will be your bass-note. the lowest place to play this is at your low E-string.
so put a barré on 1 on E and B string, put 2 on your D-string, put 3 on your A-string and put 1 on your low E string.
than the finger settings are:
1
1
0
2
3
1

i'm not sure it's correct, but it's the way i'm tought. this is a had chord to play, it would be easyer to add a G# to it, so you can put a barré over 1.
as i said, i dont know if this is totally correct, but it's how i'm tought.
for the chords with 5, if your playing a rock or heavyer song, use powerchords when it says 5.
for F5 this is:
X
X
X
3
3
1

Gert, thats all correct, but I posted this as a tab alternative. I grew up before you saw tab, we looked at chord graphs, and here are some.

In the way you wrote the name of the chord, it is reffered to as a slash chord. A slash chord has a triad, and the note after the slash is played in the bass. There are also polychords, where a triad is on top, and there is a horizontal line, and a triad on the bottom, thats a different deal, but a diagonal line is reffered to as a slash chord. Slash chords you could see could be D/C, F/G, D/E, and so forth.

You asked about an F5, and a G5. You need to go back to this post.

And realize, once you have a movable voicing under your fingers, where the target note falls, it names the chord. In this example, an F5 to a G5, the target note is on the low "E" string. You have to know the names of the notes on the string to use this. If the target was on the 5th fret of the 6th string, it would be "A5", if it was on the 8th fret, it would be C5, ect. I have seen students play this voicing with their 1st and 3rd fingers, I dont recommend that for this reason. If you use your 1,3rd, and 4th fingers, then to go to the "D5" voicing with the target on the "A" string (5th), you can just flop your 4th finger over, and its right there, the most common move in rock guitar. The C/F voicing has zero fret crossed out, the C triad is fretted with the 1st finger barred at the 5th fret, and the F, on the 5th string , 8th fret is played with your 4th finger. All voicings should be played without playing strings that aren;t fretted. If you look at the Fmaj 7, if one played it with the pick playing the low note "F", and 2,3,and 4th finger on their right hand, like a claw, pulled up as the pick played down, then you wont play any other notes besides the ones fretted, basically plucking the chord. Try the claw on the C/F chord. By using the system of target notes, movable voicings, and their right hand fingers to select which note to play, opens up a lot of opportunities.
