So, I wanted to play the song by Dierks Bentley called "settle for a slowdown'' and this goaway on a different site told me that if you wanna play it like he does in the goaway you have to drop each string down a whole step. so does that mean that I make the e string a b and the b string a g etc etc? |

1st string "E' becomes D, 2nd A,3rd f,4th,c,5th g,6th d. I never heard of dropping a whole step, are you sure it's not a dropped D tuning? Stevie ray Vaughn liked the sound of really thick strings, but they were too goaway to bend, so everything he did was tunned down a half step. ex.=1st string=Eb. _________________ Kingfreeze |

Very common among the Metal set to tune down the whole guitar.
Some guys even go down two whole steps to C!
Isn't that more than halfway to a baritone guitar's A tuning? |

Drawing Guitarist,
That could be correct. If you play Linkin Park you have to do the same thing
