Hi there,
after serious technical problems with the new version of GuitarBrain we can finally announce an official stable build of the new version. We currently have a new version of the site working on our beta servers and by wednesday we should be running this version on the production server.
Important changes will be the addition of a link list that will increase the popularity of the site in search engines. We will be making some additional changes that willl prevent the spambots signing up for the site. Once we succeed in locking out those bots we will proceed to clean up the user list.
You'll hear from us
Matt. |

Well louis,
I'm not promising this will be the end of the trouble. The thing is that we have to find something like a good solution for everybody. On one hand we don't want spambots to register but we don't want to make the registration too difficult for new users.
We're gonna try some things out and see what happens. The thing is that this new release will implement the link list, wich is an important promotional tool. The next release will be entirely focused on eliminating spammers. It is of little use to start cleaning up the memberlist if we get 2 new spammers for every old one we delete. First we have to try and eliminate the cause of the problem

Actually matt, it is useful to clean the userlist.
I have constantly checked for spambots and hidden advertisement, with tremendous help from Louis.
To remain believable, advertisement by spambots can not be allowed. That's why I'd like to thank Louis for helping us out here, and sending a message for eacht spammer he discovers. Thanks man, you're doing great |

heh,
maybe I gave some kind of a wrong impression there. It is of course useful to clean the userlist but it has no real goal if the problems keeps on occurring.

| Hey Pierre and Matt its my pleasure to make sure that we stay a guitar site and that we grow and influence as many people to play guitar and learn from each other that way the world becomes a smaller place and we all benefit from each others presence.louis |
