I think what we call a Folk guitar here (at least in Belgium), is a Western Guitar with you guys.
To be totally clear: its the guitar with the iron strings I mean. Sounds great for chords and stuff, but not for classical things (i already have my classical nylon string guitar for that)
sorry kingfreeze, i never tought about the fact we live at different places. where i live, and where pierre lives, an acoustic guitar is the smaller model with the slightly larger neck and a folk guitar, well ofcourse the opposite: bigger and smaller neck. also a folk guitar has steel strings here. i know this cuz my teacher guitar brought his one to the lesson the day i posted it, and he explained me some about it, and he's in the branch for about 40 years now, i tought he would definitly tell the truth. _________________ greetz gert
